Odren

Odren were a Beastfolk people created by the Fairbarrow Wardens through the Bioweaving of Humans with beavers. They were developed primarily to aid the continued expansion of Fairbarrow's Great Wells, where enormous engineering projects required extensive excavation and construction both underwater and through waterlogged earth. Odren laborers and engineers helped drain and redirect waters, control inflows, excavate deeper levels, and construct new habitable spaces where water had previously prevented settlement.

Although the original Odren were strongly beaver-like, their Bioweaving stabilized across Rodentia, eventually numerous rodent phenotypes. Many retained traits well suited to digging and earthmoving, and the Odren remained strongly associated with the hydraulic and subterranean engineering traditions of Fairbarrow.
