Created by the Fire Wardens of Bloodhorn, these people were the only successful attempt beyond the Bugbears to incorporate a Virborne-derived donor into another race. Hob-Orc blood was Biowoven into Lizardfolk, whose unusually flexible Squamata-derived genetics somehow allowed the mixture to stabilize where every similar attempt failed. The result was neither Hob nor Lizardfolk, but an entirely new people: predominantly orange-skinned humanoids with rough reptilian skin, scattered scales, long tails, prominent horns, fiery eyes, and the pointed ears inherited from their distant Orc and Warden ancestry. The Hob influence amplified their Squamata traits, pushing their natural resistance to heat to extraordinary levels.
They became the elves of the Bloodhorn wastes—lean, capable, long-featured people most comfortable in the intense heat surrounding volcanic regions, taking particular pride in building settlements far closer to active volcanoes than other Heirs considered sane. Such places also suited the Fire Wardens perfectly. Although they eventually spread throughout the wider world and became simply another people, their appearance, Bloodhorn origins, and seemingly unnatural comfort around fire had already earned them a lasting reputation as fiendish, dangerous, and perhaps inherently evil among outsiders.
